Mirambel F1, un Piel de Sapo precoz para trasplantes medios-tardíos
Ramiro Arnedo ha celebrado este miércoles 5 de junio una jornada de melón con jamón en Vícar para mostrar su variedad Mirambel F1.

Mirambel F1 es un melón piel de sapo de ciclo medio-tardío que destaca sobre todo por su precocidad. “Si plantas dos variedades en las mismas condiciones, con Mirambel F1 puedes empezar a recolectar 5 días antes”, señala María García, mejoradora de melón de Ramiro Arnedo.
Además, Jorge Bervel, técnico comercial de la casa de semillas, destaca de este melón su escriturado suave y longitudinal. “Otras variedades de trasplantes tardíos presentan dificultad de escriturado, pero Mirambel se comporta muy bien”, señala.
Se trata de una planta vigorosa, con un cuajado uniforme, que permite al agricultor aguantar el fruto sin que se raje. Su calibre es de 3 a 3,5 kilos, alcanza 12-14 º Brix y presenta buena calidad organoléptica.
Mirambel F1 tiene un escriturado suave y longitudinal.
Las fechas de trasplante recomendadas van desde el 20 de febrero hasta primeros de abril.
Mirambel F1 presenta resistencias a Fusarium 0,1 y MNSV. IR a Px: 1,2.
La otra variedad estrella de Ramiro Arnedo en melón es Valentín F1, un piel de sapo de ciclo medio-temprano y buena precicocidad. Se caracteriza por su planta fuerte y vigorosa, por presentar un buen cuaje y agrupado y buena uniformidad en calibre de 2,5 a 3 kilos, forma y escriturado. Valentín F1 alcanza los 12º brix como mínimo.
